Don’t let me know that you sit up in bed at night, wondering how I’ve been doing. Don’t let me know that you’ve drafted hundreds of texts that you’ve never sent out to me. Don’t let me know that you’ve started drinking more in the hopes of wiping the taste of my lips off of you.

Stay up all night to text you. If she falls asleep mid-conversation, it’s actually a good sign. It means she didn’t want to say goodbye.

Date the man that calms you down when you scream at an inanimate object, like your phone or computer, instead of laughing at you for getting upset over something so silly.

Never lower your standards, because there’s a man out there that will reach them.

“We were in an almost relationship. Out of nowhere, I stopped texting her, because I got scared of how fast we were moving. Biggest mistake of my life.”

Ox: You’ll actually have the most chemistry with your polar opposite. Since you’re such a hard worker, and rarely find time to relax, you need a man that’s a dreamer. A man that loves to have fun and will push you outside of your comfort zone.

I’m sick of almost relationships, where I think that I’m on my way to calling a particular boy my boyfriend. I don’t want to come this close to dating, only to be let down again.

Texting. You shouldn’t have to analyze every text he sends. You shouldn’t have to show your friends your phone so they can help you plan out what to say next. If he’s the right one for you, the conversation will flow easily.

“My mom’s face was almost blue, and she was kicking her legs around like a fish out of water. My dad, still drunk off his ass, had the cord wrapped around my mom’s neck, trying all he could to strangle her.”

Being overly suspicious. If he hasn’t given you any reason to assume he’s cheating, then don’t constantly look for signs that he’s cheating.

He’s worth the effort when you don’t have to doubt yourself. When you aren’t stuck wondering why it’s taking him so long to text back or what he meant by a certain comment. When you aren’t afraid that you’re too ugly or clingy or boring for him.

Is it easier for you to imagine marrying him or getting your heart broken by him?

Whenever you mention another guy, he starts asking a million questions. He’s obviously not okay with you seeing someone else.

Being too quiet during a group conversation. You don’t want everyone to think you’re a snob, but you just can’t think of anything to say.

“One time during an argument over text, he replies to me with a pic of about 10-15 knives, all unfolded and displayed on his nightstand. “

“The man that murdered my cousin. They were dating and when she tried to leave him, he killed her. We had all met him, he seemed like a completely normal and down to earth dude.”

He’s admitted that he just got out of a rough relationship and isn’t really looking for anything serious right now.

When we say we want a gentleman, we’re saying that we want someone that treats us like like an equal. Someone that we actually deserve.
