14. Labor Day

From the ever dependable Jason Reitman, Labor Day is the first “comedy” Kate Winslet has headlined in seven years — unless you count Movie 43, which I don’t. Reitman has proved himself a master at getting great comedic turns out of A-list actresses — from Ellen Page and Vera Farmiga to Charlize Theron, who Oscar owes a nomination for Young Adult. Reitman has yet to make a bad movie, and with Winslet’s track record, it looks like he won’t any time soon.
