Asghar Farhadi’s follow-up to A Separation (one of the best films of the decade), The Past drew raves when it appeared at Cannes, even though it got edged out for the Palme d’Or. Starring The Artist’s Berenice Bejo, many critics felt the film announced Farhadi as one of the leading dramatists of our age. I’m sold. After A Separation, I’ll follow Asghar Farhadi everywhere.
