It means you’re not afraid of letting people know you can’t do everything on your own but it won’t kill you if they can’t help. It won’t kill you if they said no.

I wish you had never taught me how to be alone and love it because now I got used to it. Now I don’t fight to get out of it. Now it’s my second home.

Because power is just another facet of the ego and when you love with your ego, not your heart, you’re bound to lose either way.

If you trust God, you’ll understand that you didn’t really ‘lose’ anything or anyone. God took things and people away from you for a reason. He knows when certain things have served their purpose.

She’s tired of being the girl who believes and makes exceptions and ignores the red flags. She’s tired of being the one who always gets hurt in the end.

Starting over means you’re brave. You’re not afraid to end things. You’re not afraid to break your own heart.

You don’t deserve someone who comes back, you deserve someone who never leaves.

I’m slowly learning that it’s okay to color outside the lines. It’s okay that the picture you’re drawing doesn’t exactly mirror the picture you had in mind. It’s okay to change your art as you grow.

They won’t understand what happens to your body when you go from an extreme high to the lowest low. When you can’t even get out of bed because your sadness is so heavy.

Maybe God doesn’t need you to remind him every 10 seconds that you want this or you want that because he knows you’re figuring it out. He knows you’re slowly learning the right way of doing things.

Walk away from the people who confuse you because that only means they’re confused about you and you deserve someone who knows for sure.

A person not seeing your worth is not an invitation to try to prove them wrong. It’s a sign that this person is not meant to be in your life because the ones who see your worth don’t need proof.

This was the year I realized that family doesn’t always mean love, and romance doesn’t always mean forever.

I hope you know that seeing you happy made me want to be happy without you. It made me realize that my pain makes you happy. My misery brings you joy. My heartbreak brings you power.

When you feel disconnected from everyone around you, it means you’re growing, you’re evolving, you’re becoming a new and improved version of yourself, you’re changing and people don’t react well to change.

In the grand scheme of things, love is simple. The person who wants to talk to you will find a way to talk to you. The person who wants to see you, will not decline your invitations.

We could have made it in another world, another era, another universe where the stars align for us and timing is on our side and our hearts are fearless again.

I’m learning how to let what’s meant for me find me instead of actively searching for it or convincing myself that it’s right around the corner.
