He cares if you’re upset. He doesn’t ignore your unhappiness, he attempts to understand it.

Sometimes people mistake vulnerability for weakness, because while others build walls up to prevent anyone from coming in, you bring walls down to let yourself be free.

“His brother openly confessed that he was ‘in love’ with me, and they were really close so he was around ALL THE TIME. It was really awkward, and made me super uncomfortable.”

She doesn’t realize that the only reason she thinks he’ll run away is because she’s the one who’s terrified.

It’s weird that a Spongebob laptop case is harmless, but if you buy a Spongebob bedspread you’re instantly judged. It’s not a crime that the characters who made us happy when we were children still make us happy as adults.

When you go to reunions with other alumni and everyone sings sorority songs at the top of their lungs you silently move your lips hoping to fool everyone that you still remember the words.

When you don’t say what’s bothering you, your partner will think you’re incapable of being bothered. It’s not that people never make you angry, it’s that you’re hesitant to show when you’re blatantly upset.

Before you’re a couple your mindset is “I’m a girl. Girls don’t poop.” After you’re official it not only changes to, “Everybody poops,” it may even go as far as “Wow, I really need to take a shit right now.”

Your partner is a human not a god. No matter how great you think you’re partner may be, they will make mistakes.

We’re all tempted of course, but if you actually go through with it clearly there is something missing from your current relationship, and maybe that’s something cheaters need to think about.

“Perhaps when we find ourselves wanting everything, it is because we are dangerously close to wanting nothing.”

“I don’t like a guy who drinks too much. It’s okay to enjoy yourself, but if you’re drinking your face off during the work week, and calling me wasted when you do it, I want nothing to do with you.”

Some love is worth remembering because of how it made us feel, because of how it built us and broke us, and how all of that destruction made us learn something about ourselves.

She likes to revisit meaningful texts you’ve sent her. When you send her a text about how much she means to you and why, she will never delete it, ever.

“When I’m trying to be sexy, I talk dirty. Anything to do with him on top of me, or me on top of him, that usually gets both of us going.”

Tell her that she’s beautiful. Tell her when she’s raw and not done up, tell her when she’s exposed, because if she knows you think she’s beautiful at her worst, she knows you think she’s beautiful all of the time.
