I know I would love sleeping with your warm body by my side, but part of me will always wonder when the time will be up and I’ll be sleeping alone again.

I left because I thought there was something more out in the world, but it turns out I had everything I could have ever wanted right in front of me.

You just rocked the world I was trying to hard to stabilize because you had to tell me you missed me. Why couldn’t you just keep it to yourself?

Behind the jet-black darkness they left you standing in scared and alone, you will find your way out and you will pick up every shambled piece you thought you’d never find and you will move on.

Love is making sacrifices for your partner’s gain, but it is your partner sacrificing for you, too. Love is not a one-way street, love is pulling your own weight and pulling it as equally as possible.

I hope you find someone who never makes you worry and loves you with all their heart and wants the best for you and will make sacrifices for you and never forgets the little things and always kisses you goodnight.

I don’t need anyone who doesn’t want to be here, I’ve dealt with heartbreak and loss before and if you leave you’ll just be another name to add to the list.

I don’t want someone else to love you because that means you’re really gone. It means there’s really no chance for us to ever be something more.

Every tear I shed crying out for you was honest, every dream I had about you coming back to me made me hopeful, and every note I reread a million times from you made me feel like everything we had was real, even if at the time it felt like you didn’t give a damn about me.

1. It’s okay to miss the past. It’s okay to reflect on the past, there is so much change and growth in your twenties.

Leaving doesn’t mean we are running from our problems, it simply means we’re cutting out the parts of our lives that could no longer ensure us happiness.

In order to love someone you have to fall for not only their strengths, but also their weaknesses.

I’m scared, I’m so terribly scared to have you break my heart after all the time I spent loving it and mending the previously broken pieces back together. I don’t want to place it in your hands carefully just to have you be reckless and drop it then watch it shatter all over the floor.

You owe it to yourself to leave, to love yourself, to find your own happiness without them. I know it’s hard and I know you miss them terribly, but you can’t find happiness in a person who doesn’t bring out the best in you.

You are worth more than being ghosted or waiting hours upon hours for a text message you’ll never receive. You are more than unanswered questions and feeling hopeless.

You did the right thing by leaving him, even if you feel lost right now without him. You are smarter than he gave you credit for, you are more beautiful than he told you and you are stronger than how weak he made you feel. You are more than him and you are better without him.

I deserve someone who will have my back even when we can’t stand each other at the moment because that’s what loving someone means.
