Seeing the best in someone else is a key component to lasting love. It is the magic pixie dust that makes long-term commitment possible, the bubblewrap every couple needs surrounding their partnership.
Labels. Everything is left undefined, you can’t even say you’re dating someone you’ve been hanging out with for months because it’s not entirely true but it’s not entirely false either. You can’t say if he/she likes you because they haven’t really confessed that to you yet and you can’t say that you’re not single, because technically you are.
How does one even casually date another? Like, what are the rules? Are there any? Or do you just emptily fuck them and take them to dinner, ask them questions about things you don’t really care about and then at some point in the future decide they’re boring and move on?
I’m going to be frank, these are some of the most insane stories I have ever heard in my entire life. They are crazier and, in a very few cases, sadder than anything you could make up. They are also utterly fascinating.
You never know if you should follow your heart or your mind because they’re at two very different places taking you to two opposite directions.
I think people believe trusting is weak, is naïve. But I’ve never agreed with that.
