Point blank: If you haven’t seen Showgirls yet, I don’t know what you’ve been doing with your life. Gina Gershon intentionally created her character to give drag queens something to go as on Halloween, and everyone around her seems to be in on the joke of the movie, except for Elizabeth Berkley.

Paul Verhoeven was making a satire but forgot to tell his star, who is so over-the-top she’s acting the screen off. She wouldn’t be out of place in a 40s B-movie. You would think that with lines about eating kibble that she might have figured it out, but lucky for us she didn’t.
