19. The Room

In recent years, The Room has become a midnight movie classic, one of the most addictively terrible movies in history. A friend of mine claims to have seen it over 20 times, and I have a policy of personally watching it with anyone I know who hasn’t seen it yet — to guide them through the experience. The Room is so bad that you notice new bad things every time you watch it: impossible tracking shots, bizarre shifts to HD, strange lighting choices and characters whose dialogue makes no sense. The Room creates a universe in which people play football standing ten feet apart, women have vaginas in their belly buttons and no one ever pays for a meal.

If this movie isn’t some kind of miracle, I don’t know what is.
