16. He almost got me in his car…
When I was 7 years old, a man tried to get me to get into his car. I was riding my bike around the neighborhood, when this older car passed by, then slowed down and reversed toward me. The man starting off by asking me basic questions, then started asking me if my parents were home. He then opened his door and told me had a present for me if I’d get in the car. My mom and grandmother had already given me whole stranger-danger speech and what to do, so I immediately started screaming for help. The man’s expression changed instantly into a mask of hate and he sped off as my neighbors started coming outside.
A year or so later, a little girl a few blocks down went missing and was never found.. Still gives me the chills to think about it 37 years later..
