You’ve been falling for the wrong people lately. Your tastes need to change if you want to stop getting strung along and enter a strong, serious relationship.

You are never going to stop me from moving forward, from conquering my past, from healing from my pain.

When you love someone, spending a long time apart sucks, but it’s not the end of the world. After all, you know your person isn’t going anywhere. You know they aren’t going to do anything sketchy while you’re away. You know they’re going to be right there when you get back.

Positive: You are going to be hit with a burst of motivation that will propel your career in the right direction.  Negative: You will end up working such long hours that you will hardly have any time left over for self-care or socializing.

You have to accept that sometimes, even when people love you, they won’t be able to be present in your life as much as you would like.

When you get engaged, it’s not all ring selfies and pink champagne. 

I don’t want to send a text (to a friend who loves me). I don’t want to socialize (at a party that’s bound to be fun). I don’t want to leave the house (and drive to a job I’m lucky to have). 

When you’re always the one who cares more, who puts in the most effort, who sends the first text, it can kill your confidence.
