Instant gratification is something we all chase. It’s what makes us feel good in the moment, but it’s only instant. It’s not long lasting. It falls apart quickly and it leaves us alone again.

Who knows if he meant what he said when he was drunk, who knows if that sex meant anything, who even knows if he’s talking to someone else?? Maybe you’re not the only girl he’s ‘talking to’ but you can’t ask because once again that makes you look fucking CRAZY.

You leave, you feel this sense of freedom, you feel happy, you feel like a weight has been lifted off of you. Then he comes back – like clockwork.

You tell yourself over and over in your head that you’re not good enough the way you are; that just because someone might have done something better than you that you are worthless.

Appreciate the sun rises, the people you meet on the road, the strangers who help you out when you’re struggling. Appreciate all the little things and it will make your life a lot more enjoyable when you choose to see the good.

You had your chance, you had plenty of chances for that matter and you just kept pushing and pushing her further away until she remembered how to walk on her own without you. And she did. She said goodbye and now you can’t accept the fact you lost the best thing in your life.
