Thomas Jefferson Biography and Career

On April 13th, 1743, Thomas Jefferson was born in Shadwell, Virginia, on his father’s plantation. At the age of 14, Jefferson’s father passed away, leaving him to inherit a large amount of land. Despite receiving his father’s plantation, he dreamed of living on a mountain. So, he set out to build a house named Monticello where he could spend his life.
