Elvis Presley

Fans Remember Elvis Presley on the 46th Anniversary of the King’s Death

The King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley — known for his signature combination of rhythm and blues, gospel, and country — remains one of the most celebrated performers of all time. With those wild, gyrating hips and bedazzled outfits, he took audiences by storm with upbeat sing-a-long tunes like “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “A Little Less Conversation” as well as soft, tender-hearted ballads like “In the Ghetto” and “Suspicious Minds.” We also can’t forget his many cinematic turns, including Love Me Tender, Loving You, King Creole, G.I. Blues, Flaming Star, Blue Hawaii, and many more.

He was a true star – on stage and screen. And, on August 16, 1977, he left us — to forever worship the work he left behind and mourn the work he didn’t get to create. Fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate his life and achievements on the 46th anniversary of his passing.
