Sometimes I wonder if I’m the one, your girl, the one who makes it till the end, the one who finally steals your heart and completes your love story, the one everyone was rooting for, the one that everyone wanted you to end up with.

I hope I don’t like you because if I do, I’m going to mess things up and you might leave. Because I get nervous and I stop making sense when your eyes look at me.

Date someone who’s looking for quality because that’s the only way they’ll appreciate you, that’s the only way they’ll understand what you truly have to offer. Anyone else will only like you under certain conditions.

I’m here to take back all the pieces of myself I left in you. I need them to make me whole again. Apparently, even the broken pieces of me still work. Apparently, I can still fix what you broke. As long as I do it. As long as you stay out of it.

You’re learning that it’s healthy to be vulnerable. You’re starting to embrace your vulnerability, your tears and all the things you used to associate with ‘weakness.’ You’re learning that it makes you human and that trying to be tough all the time is one big lie. Vulnerability is another form of strength.

I’m learning to trust him instead of trying to change what he has written for me. I’m learning that it’s my story but he’s the director. He’s the one who makes it all come together. He’s the one who makes it all make sense because he’s involved in every aspect of it.

Sometimes it’s how you realize that God has better things planned for you so you can let go.

And someone who settles for less will never be able to give you more. Someone who’s into casual dating will never give you commitment. Someone who’s known for being selfish and just craves the attention will never give you loyalty.
