I like to paint, so I just take my brushes and paint. It is so soothing to feel the soft strokes of the brush on canvas. I just love to make a beautiful, colorful mess. It is analogous to breaking things and shouting for me.

My most recent therapist said, “Productivity does not equal worth or value.” In regards to people feeling like just because we’re home all the time during the pandemic, we should be doing stuff for and in the home (cleaning, hobbies, renovations, etc). And then feeling badly that we don’t have the energy for those things.

Instead of using a random pick-up line on them that would work on anyone you saw, give them a specific, personalized compliment. Tell them how much you like their outfit, their hair, their eyes, their smile.

Hearing a song that causes me to reflect or think of certain memories.
