23 Obese People Reveal The Struggles Only They Can Understand

21. Constantly judged AND constantly asked about fast food prices

I’d say the constant judgement whenever you order food in public. People look at you like “do you really need that?” “You need a LARGE fry?”

Also people constantly ask me “How much does (blank), (blank) and (blank) cost from Mcdonalds?” Just because I’m fat doesn’t mean I know how much everything costs everywhere or what they’re serving at any given time.

22. Stomach meeting the table

Going out to eat-fat people get hungry and need to eat just like everyone else but I feel like I have to choose a healthy option whenever I’m out because of the judgment I see in everyone’s eyes. So I order salad instead of fries, chefs vegetables instead of saute potatoes, always claim I’m too full for dessert.

The other problem is the layout of the restaurant-if the tables are tightly packed it can be hard negotiating your way past chairs. And chairs-chairs with arms can be uncomfortable and dig in.

Chub-rub.

Getting out of breath very quickly-at work I always try and take the stairs (again because of my perception that I’m being judged), and I work on the 3rd floor.

23. The marks it leaves are so judgy
