8. Death Race 2000 (1975)

#Winning for it’s ridiculous, action-filled plot, the premise of Death Race 2000 is a cross-country race where participants not only get points for how fast they drive it… but how many people they hit and kill on the way. What a sweet plot! The whole movie is basically a chase scene, with plenty of gratuitous pedestrian kills. Quite possibly the most infamous scene is the one in which a group of nursing home attendants set up all their immobile seniors on the road to get hit by the oncoming race traffic. Poetic justice is served, however, and the attendants are run over instead of the old people in wheelchairs.
