Thank you for knowing when I need you, even if I don’t always tell you.

We really want a concrete ending, a period at the end of the chapter. But we usually feel like we are left with a comma, left taking a breath in the middle of a sentence.

Sometimes it hurts before it heals, and sometimes it burns before it calms. Sometimes it aches before it soothes, and sometimes it all falls down before it begins to grow.

Your twenties are hard. We forget to say this sometimes. We forget to reassure each other that it’s okay to be struggling.

I wasn’t ready to lose you, I wasn’t ready to live without you.

I want to live the rest of my life with my heart placed gently on my sleeve, not afraid to be seen by the world.

I hope you can say that you made the most of this life. I hope you can say that you lived.
