I don’t want mediocre relationships that will fizzle and fade. I want realistic relationships that will last forever, not even only pertaining to love, but with friendships and relationships in general.

It’s not that I want to forget about you, because I don’t, not completely anyways. You became a huge part of my life, but that’s the thing. You were just a part of it.

“I used to jack off while I was on long drives, it would keep me awake and I would play the porn through my car speakers. It was kind of fucked up, but whatever. Except the last time I did it I got pulled over because a cop saw what I was doing. I got a ticket and he was repulsed.”

“I talk to guys because I’m not sure if I’m interested in them or not. They might have a stellar personality, but I’m just not sure if they’re for me or not on the sexual/dating level. So I try to keep my options open and stay kind.”

Some days he seems really into it and everything seems perfect. You’re convinced he likes you and you spent the best day together. Then he gets flaky again, you wonder where you went wrong, you question if he likes you, and you drive yourself crazy trying to dissect every little thing.

Maybe in another life I wouldn’t be so unsure of everything. Maybe I wouldn’t spend so much time over thinking and wondering what my life could be like if I traveled here or moved there. Maybe if I knew what I wanted I could settle down, but I don’t, not in this life anyways.

Make your own outside fort! Grab blankets and sheets from inside and hang them from trees to create your own little outdoor sanctuary together.

I would always choose you. I would run to you over and over again. Every time. I would wrap my arms around you and tell you how I’ve missed you every day since you’ve been gone.

Don’t date the guy who makes you feel like you aren’t good enough, that you’re not deserving of love, that you’re not smart, or that you’re not independent. Don’t date someone who tries to hold you back from your true potential because they are scared you will realize just how great you are.

Because as strong, as independent, as happy as she is on her own sometimes she just needs a hand to hold. Someone to kiss her when she’s feeling down, someone to tell her she looks beautiful when she’s doubting herself, someone to be goofy when she’s upset because as great as being single is, it isn’t better than love.

You’ve left part of yourself in the different parts of your life. You’ve become a different version of the person you’ve left behind. Maybe that is why it is so hard for us to move on sometimes because we’ve left pieces of ourselves behind everywhere we’ve been.

Date the guy who understands the importance of treating you properly, even after they’ve had a few drinks at the bar. Date the guy who doesn’t flirt with everyone that lays eyes on him, but only has eyes for you.
