Hating yourself for not being “perfect” is just a waste of energy.
Does it make me half a person because I’m not there yet?
As much as it may confuse you, when a person with depression is admitting to you they’re at their lowest, the last thing they need to hear is you offer pearls of wisdom.
“I deserve the best and that’s all I’ll ever accept.”
In order to be able to fully flourish, you must find the space to do so.
Thinking you can both be friends straight after ending your intense relationship is a naive mistake we all make at some point in our lives. Inevitably though, all it does is hold us back.
Sometimes you just want to hit rewind, not only on the day but on your whole life. You want to start it again, armed with the knowledge that making certain moves will change your future.
Propping someone on a metaphorical throne is not going to do your ego (or theirs) any good.
Just because you have a history doesn’t mean that you have a future, and admitting that it’s no longer working is not a bad thing.
Appearances can often be deceptive and having knowledge is not the same as having wisdom.
