These are the friends who listen when we need to cry or yell or scream – and know the words we need to hear to soothe our troubles.

You say no without guilt.

Please don’t quit finding the love that you want, the one that you need, and the one that will make you a better version of you.

Some cynics might say that this was too easy – but I couldn’t disagree more.

Just as there is beauty in the sunrise, there is beauty in the sunset, too.

Life is a process of trying, and failing, and learning from those failures. 

It’s a gift to be able to grow slow.

I hope you know that you are deserving of someone who cares.

I hope you let yourself feel your pain.

I hope you look up at the sky and take in all the blue.

Your softness is beautiful. It’s raw, it’s unassuming, it’s imperfect. It sees and seeks the beauty and the best in other souls, even when it’s not easy.

Here’s to the friends who say words of encouragement as many times as you need to hear it. They’ll continue to repeat themselves until you start to believe it. 

When someone else smiles because of something you said.

I need you to get out of bed in the morning. 

Sometimes, just sometimes, you’d like to take off the armor. You’d like to not have to swat away the words. You’d like to stop building from the pieces that have been smashed

Life will keep moving forward. It will not wait for you to realize what’s happening around you or for you to embrace change.
