Being a good father means showing your kids what a healthy, stable relationship looks like — instead of cheating, instead of giving them trust issues, instead of giving them reasons to believe that everyone is going to screw them over in the end.

I stopped letting other people walk over me. I stopped giving out second chances to people who have made it clear that I am not a priority.

You can’t pretend to be just friends when you know you will never be satisfied with that, when you know you will always want more.  

You feel like you are fumbling through adulthood, pretending to have it together when you are secretly falling apart.
