Read This When Life Seems Harder Than It Should Be

Sometimes we go through periods of life where everything just seems so incredibly hard. We feel deeply unhappy. We are constantly inhabited with worries and fear. Life throws one blow after the next.

Sometimes our bad days are followed by even worse days. We can’t seem to catch a break. And we just wonder if things will ever get better.

When life seems harder than it should be, think about all the bad times you’ve survived. Think about all the tests you thought you failed and didn’t. Think of all the days you thought you would never get through. Think of all the silly people you thought you would never get over. Remember all the problems you were once plagued with. The ones that seem silly now. Ones that are far in the past.

Because while you may have tough times now, you’ve gotten through many before. Life is sometimes an endless cycle of battles. But you’ve survived them all so far.

Think of the happiest day of your life. Think about the little things that make you smile. Ice cream on a hot summer day. The laughter of the people you care about. You have so much time left to live, and one day your darker days will be behind you.

When we’re going through tough times, it’s hard to think in terms of the future. It’s easier to wonder how you will survive the day. How you will get through this. Sometimes we have to live day by day. And that’s all we can do. And that’s okay too.

When life seems harder than it should be, we just have to get through it. We have to know that we are stronger than our problems. It’s okay to ask for help, if that’s what we need. Sometimes we have to push our pride aside.

When life seems harder than it should be, remember that you are strong. That you are capable. Things will get better. You just have to persist. Try to be positive. And live. Life gets better. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
