6 Lesser Known Romantic Movies You Should Definitely Seek Out

I pride myself on finding great movies most people have not heard of, although I don’t mind sharing the wealth with every other movie loving soul like me. These are movies that I have stumbled upon throughout the years, and though you may not have heard about them, if you can’t get enough classic guilty pleasure movies, this list is for you. Here they are in no particular order.

1. Keith

If you have ever watched A Walk To Remember and loved it then this movie is for you. It’s funny and touching and it has a young Jesse McCartney as the lead. Need I say more?

2. A Lot Like Love

Don’t be put off by the cheesy title. At first I thought this was just going to be a predictable cliché movie, but it surprised me with a slightly offbeat storyline. It has the perfect amount of real-world flare mixed with movie couple love. Also, Aston Kutcher is the lead, so if anything, you will have something nice to look at.

3. Elvis And Annabelle

This movie is in my top favorites for sure. Blake Lively is the star actress and she does a kick-ass job like always. It has the small town summer love vibe that all girls wish they could experience at least once in life, along with a dash of drama, and a runaway adventure. Trust me on this one it will not disappoint.

4. According To Greta

Hilary Duff is actually the leading lady in this movie, and she’s the complete opposite of the teen dream Lizzie McGuire. It really captures what it’s like to be a teenager going through tough times but making the best of it. The lead in this reminds me of the girl Miley Cyrus plays in The Last Song, although I would probably say this movie is much better. Sorry, Nicholas Sparks.

5. Spread

This comedy-drama stars Ashton Kutcher (yes, he is one of my favorite actors, can you blame me?). Usually girls are the ones with sugar daddies but the twist in this movie is that the main guy is sleeping his way up the social ladder. Find out if the player gets played or if he finds his happily ever after. Don’t worry — the ending isn’t some lame cliché, and it is actually pretty good.

6. Stuck In Love

Okay, so this one isn’t that obscure, but it is still worth watching. Most of the characters in this movies are writers, which caught my attention from the beginning. It is also about real struggles people have with modern relationships and they do a pretty good job at nailing down accurate situations. Plus Stephen King gets a little shout out, which I thought was pretty cool. TC mark
