COVID-19 is terrible. It is very bad, and people are dying, and I don’t think anyone, even the greatest skeptics among us, are contesting that.
Yet each day, I sincerely think about all the other things I’m so glad it’s not.

And we all — all of us — think about our exes.
Why are we all so hung up on “forever?” Why does “forever” mean more to us, happy or otherwise, than “happy for as long as it lasts” might mean?
Everything in the universe changes — and that includes us.
