It is the friend I have known for over a decade that asked me to be her maid of honor and then kicked me out of her wedding 12 days prior.

Show up, do your work and then some. BE the investment that they took a risk on. BE the employee that attempts to make an impact in the workplace. Don’t be complacent in your job, look for ways to better the company that has put so much time and effort into you.

What is the point? Why are we comparing ourselves to others when we should be celebrating the notion that we are unique because of our quirks, flaws and differences?

Why are people so focused on finding the next one before getting over the last one?

Everyone is just trying to get through each day of this life as it unfolds. Why would anyone ever think it’s okay to say the one thing you know is going to hurt someone the most?

You’re the reason that I’m able to stand on my own two feet sometimes.

If you have a person that has stolen your heart, tell them. Don’t end up, sitting up at 12:30 in the morning, missing someone so bad that it hurts. Be honest, be vulnerable, say what you feel – because guess what? In the end, you can’t say you didn’t try.
