‘Queens’ | March 5

Award-winning living icon Angela Bassett narrates the series about matriarchies globally. The show highlights powerful female leaders who sacrifice and show undaunted resilience in the face of adversity to protect their families and communities.  With National Geographic backing the production, it’s sure to be a far-reaching account of epic scale. 

‘Taylor Swift The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version’)’ | March 15

The concert film will make its streaming debut exclusively on Disney+ in its entirety; thus, the movie will feature “Cardigan” and four additional acoustic numbers. The concert — from the 14-time Grammy-winning artist who made Travis Kelce a household name among sports amateurs — boasts a 3-hour and 1-minute runtime. Prepare your pipes to belt along as you jam out to hit tune after hit tune. Grossing $260 million worldwide at the global box office, the concert film was the highest-earning production of its kind; thus, most Swift fans saw it in concert, but it’s just about time for a rewatch.

The 1-hour and 40-minute documentary film Madu follows Anthony Madu, who — after posting a video of him dancing ballet barefoot outside on a rainy day in Lagos — became a viral sensation. He leaves his family and community in Nigeria to study ballet in England at one of the most prominent and prestigious ballet schools internationally. 

‘Renegade Nell’ | March 29

When the brave and sharp-witted Nell Jackson is falsely accused of murder, she quickly becomes the most infamous outlaw in 18th-century England. However, when a magical entity named Billy Blind arrives, she discovers she’s destined for a life she could have never predicted. 

Louisa Harland (The Deceived, Lost in London) portrays the titular character with a supporting cast that includes Nick Mohammed, Pip Torrens, Frank Dillane, Joey Richardson, Alice Kremelberg, and more. Amanda Brotchie, M.J. Delaney, and Ben Taylor co-direct the eight-episode series with writing credits belonging to Sally Wainwright, Emma Hoy, and Georgia Christou.
