(March 21st to April 19th)
Every time you weren’t the best. You don’t always have to come in first, and you don’t always have to be the best at everything you do. Put in your best effort and know that you did as much as you could. The world puts enough pressure on you, so you don’t need to put more on yourself.
(April 20th to May 21st)
Every time you made the wrong decision. In the moment you thought you were doing the right thing, making the right choice, the best choice, but the situation didn’t play out in your favor or anyone else’s, and that’s okay. People get hurt, people make mistakes, you don’t have to harbor all the guilt. Let it go.
(May 22nd to June 21st)
Every opportunity you feel you missed. You can’t be everywhere and do everything. You can only be in one place at one time. You’re not a super human, and there will be certain things you just have to pass up. Don’t beat yourself up about what could’ve been, appreciate what is, and what will be.
(June 22nd to July 22nd)
The person you once loved, and lost. People coming in and out of our lives is inevitable. You don’t have to forget them, just let them go. Remember them and think of everything they brought into your life, rather than everything they took with them when they left.
(July 23rd to August 22nd)
The times you were rejected. Not everyone is going to love you, and that’s perfectly normal. Whether it’s in your professional or personal life, use rejection to make you better, let it help you grow and change in all the right ways.
(August 23rd to September 22nd)
All of the things you did wrong. You’re allowed to mess up. You’re allowed to say and do the wrong things from time to time because no one is perfect, and you don’t have to expect yourself to be either.
(September 23rd to October 22nd)
Your fear of being alone. Being alone isn’t as scary as you think it is. Get to know yourself better, spend time with you and only you. Being alone and feeling lonely are two very different things, and they don’t have to happen simultaneously. You can be alone and feel completely satisfied, it is possible.
(October 23rd to November 22nd)
The time when you trusted someone you shouldn’t have. Should’ve, could’ve, would’ve, you can’t go back and erase the past. People won’t always treat you the way you’d like to be treated, they won’t always be honest, and loyal, but that’s not your fault, and it’s not your fault for thinking that they were different, or hoping that they were different. Don’t let the one person who broke your trust, keep you from trusting others.
(November 23rd to December 21st)
What you missed while you were away. Traveling and exploring is in your nature, you don’t feel complete unless you’re discovering something new, but while you’re out exploring, don’t feel sad about everything you missed at home. If you were home you’d be feeling the same exact way, vice versa. I don’t have to tell you what they say about the grass being greener, you already know.
(December 22nd to January 20th)
The times you lost your self-control. You’re responsible and composed every hour of every day, but occasionally all that composure will make you want to self-destruct. It’s okay if you lose control, it’s okay if you freak out or feel lost, you don’t have to be put-together ALL of the time.
(January 21st to February 18th)
The promises people made to you but didn’t keep. Broken promises are complete disappointments, but not everyone you know or love will disappoint you. Continue to have faith in people. Don’t let broken promises force you to expect the worst.
(February 19th to March 20th)
The times when people poorly criticized you. Criticism can help you grow, but only if you let it. Don’t become thrown when someone tells you what you’re doing isn’t good enough, or right. Believe in yourself, and always strive to be better.
