You are going to have a rough day, but it’s not because of any outside forces. It’s because your own insecurities are going to torture you. The voice in the back of your head is going to make you feel small and worthless. You are going to have doubts come creeping in about whether you are pretty enough and skinny enough and good enough. You are going to slip into an uncomfortable mood that you will struggle to escape.
As self-conscious as you feel, you cannot let your ‘flaws’ distract you from your strengths. You have a lot to offer this world. You have a soft heart, a good sense of humor, and a sparkling personality. And on the outside, you are beautiful, too! You are not as unlovable as you have been telling yourself. You are more valuable than you will ever allow yourself to believe. You cannot believe the lies your brain is spewing. You have to remember your worth.
Today, you are going to feel burnt out. You have been running around doing a lot lately (and shouldering a lot of stress) and you wish you could just have one second of peace. You are dying for the chance to rest and recharge — but that is not going to happen. At least, not yet. Today is going to be another hectic day. You are going to be as busy as ever before.
Eventually you will have the opportunity to sit back and admire everything you have achieved — but today is not that day. You have to keep exerting effort. You have to continue moving forward. You have to remind yourself that it takes hard work to achieve the life of your dreams. You cannot give up on yourself now. You cannot slow down or stop. You are almost there. You are within reach.
Unfortunately, you are stuck dealing with a situation (or a person) that you have no patience for today. Whenever you think about what the day has in store for you, you are worried about losing your temper or breaking down in tears, because you are not in the mood. You would rather be home, in bed, relaxing — but you have to do what you have to do. You have to force yourself to make it through this day and hope tomorrow things will be better. You have to get it over with because there’s no sense in procrastinating.
You might have a rough few hours ahead of you that will feel like they are dragging on for eternity, but you have to remain positive. If you expect the day to turn out horribly and let your paranoia convince you everything is going to go wrong, then you are going to make your day even more stressful than it needs to be. Stay optimistic. Keep your faith. Even though today will be hard on you, it won’t be the worst day of your life. Some things will go right. You will still have reasons to smile. So don’t act like the world is ending. You have been through worse.
