Here’s How You Can Actually Stay Fit While Still Eating Whatever You Want

When you don’t get sufficient sleep in the night, the production of hormones/leptin which suppress appetite decreases, which will make your body easy to gain weight.

I know you might be thinking that it’s impossible to stay fit while eating what you want, but the thing is it’s possible if do the 6 things listed below. It’s your choice to try it out.

1. Drink a lot of water.

A properly hydrated body is a heathy body. I would say drink at least 1.5 L per day. It will raise your metabolic rate and help you lose weight.

2. Consider the order of eating your meal.

Starting a meal by eating vegetables and protein, and finishing it with carbohydrates will keep you fuller than if you ate the same foods in the reverse order. It also prevents rapid increase in blood sugar levels.

3. Eat your snacks at 3 PM.

The function of the pancreas that secretes the hormone “insulin” which lowers the blood sugar level becomes the most active at this time of the day. Which means, if you want to eat a snack you better eat it at 3pm. Just watch out for the amount you eat.

4. Try to be active as possible during the day.

Being active will boost your metabolism. Walk as much as you can and use the stairs rather than the elevator or escalator.

5. Exercise and do some muscle training.

It’s said that people who have more muscles don’t gain weight so easily because the basal metabolism is high.

6. Get enough sleep.

When you don’t get sufficient sleep in the night, the production of hormones/leptin which suppress appetite decreases, which will make your body easy to gain weight.

From my experience, these 6 things will help you keep a healthy and fit body. Other than that, remember that you are doing this for yourself because what matters the most is that you are comfortable in your own skin. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
