Here Are All The Horror Movies Coming To Netflix In January
January 1
The Shining
One of the best in the genre, it’s always worth another watch. Pair it with the documentary Room 237 for a super nerdy horror night.
Dreamcatcher
This is an overlooked gem about four friends who retreat into the woods for a fun vacation (always a good sign). It’s a little cheesy, but there are creepy moments that will stick with you.
V for Vendetta
For when you’re in a more “suspenseful thriller” and less “there’s a killer in the house” mood.
January 7
Under the Shadow
There are very few horror movies with war as a backdrop, this is one about the superstitions and malevolent forces it can unleash in one family’s apartment.
January 13
It Follows
So happy this one is coming back! One of the most genuinely unsettling horror movies to come out in the last few years.
January 16
Halloweed
A weed movie about someone called the Candy Corn Killer. Not clear if this is actually enjoyable if you’re sober.
Rezort
This one actually looks pretty cool, it’s about a post-zombie apocalypse world in which rich people can pay money to go “on safari” and kill zombies.
January 17
Roger Corman’s Death Race 2050
Hunger Games meets Fast and the Furious.
January 30
Antibirth
Natasha Lyonne and Chloë Sevigny come down with a “mysterious illness” after partying with some military bros.
Also, it’s not a movie but Bates Motel season 4 will but up and streaming on Jan. 21.
