This Is For You On The Days You’re Questioning Your Path In Life

Sometimes, the universe puts us into difficult situations so we can grow. It has a funny way of knowing exactly what we need before we ever can. You are not here on accident. You have your own purpose, and you add so much light to this world that it would grow far too dim without you.

Today was a difficult day. This month was trying, and this year? You know this past year had to be your worst one yet. But that doesn’t mean that things will never be okay again. Twenty-seven years seems like an eternity when the bad days have been outnumbering the good. But I promise you, there are so many good days to come.

Maybe you spent years of your life dedicated to something you have realized your heart no longer wants. It’s okay. Just as the world around us is ever-changing, you are, too. Maybe some people are meant to do the same thing forever, and maybe you just aren’t one of those people. You don’t have to hate yourself for realizing your heart is no longer in it. You should be proud of yourself for being brave enough to admit when you just aren’t feeling whole anymore.

Maybe you have gotten everything you can out of your current situation, and you are left feeling drained. Take the time to fill yourself back up. Whatever direction your heart leads you in now, let it. The longer you stay in a place you know you are not happy in, the less time you give yourself to live a life you love. You deserve to love your life.

At the end of the day, the only person whose opinion of your life matters is you. Your family will not always support you, and your friends won’t always get it. It’s okay. You are the only one who has to get it.

People would not have the ability to grow if we were not meant to. Growth does not come easily. It will hurt. It will confuse you. It will make you question everything. But once you’ve done it?

You won’t believe how far you have come.

Like if a unicorn were a person going through an emo phase.
