Stay Single Until You Meet Someone Who Feels Like Home

Stay single until you meet someone and realize home has never been a place but rather this person and wherever they are that’s home.

Stay single until you meet someone you don’t just enjoy the night with but someone who wants to spend the morning and afternoon with you.

Stay single until you meet someone who can read you better than anyone. The one who can look at you not saying a word and can tell what type of day you’re having. Someone who can read through the bullshit you’re selling to the world and knows when to just hug you without saying anything at all.

Stay single until you meet someone who you have this unknown connection with. Something you can’t explain to anyone. It’s just this feeling that leaves you whole knowing you found them.

Stay single until you meet someone who lets you into their world entirely. Even if it’s a place that isn’t that good all the time. Stick with them if they tell you their worst fears, their worst thoughts if they trust you enough to show you what a bad day looks like. If they show you their flaws and their shortcoming and you still look at them as beautiful.

Stay single until you meet someone who adds fuel to a fire that is your dreams and holding their hand you’ve never believed in yourself more. Because you look at them and you see they believe in you too.

Stay single until you meet someone who teaches you your mistakes don’t define you. Your insecurities aren’t who you are. Someone who builds you up in such a way you become a version of yourself you didn’t think you could be.

Stay single until you meet someone who breaks through every wall you built. Someone who pushes you back when you push them away. Someone you fear not in a bad way but you fear this person because you know they’ll be the one who heals all this pain you’ve held onto for so long.

Stay single until you meet someone who doesn’t want you to be perfect because they know every flaw you have compliments them in a way that you’re perfect for them.

Stay single until you meet someone whose well being suddenly makes up your own. Their happiness is yours. Their success is yours. Their failures and sadness are something you feel too.

Stay single until you meet someone who cares to remember the little details you tell them even if you don’t remember saying it.

Stay single until you meet someone who doesn’t make you afraid of three words when all you did in the past was avoid feeling anything that deeply for someone at all.

Stay single until you meet someone and realize home has never been a place but rather this person and wherever they are that’s home.

Until then stay single and one day you’ll find someone who gives you a reason to stay. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
