Kim Kardashian West And Kendall Jenner Opened Up About What It’s Like To Have Anxiety
If you've ever experience anxiety, Kendall's description will be totally familiar to you.
Sunday’s episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians centered on Kim’s experiences with anxiety, tragically something that’s likely to only have gotten harder to deal with since she was held at gunpoint in Paris last month.
Kim talked to her mom about her recent struggle with anxiety, saying that she feels like her mind is going crazy and “I am not this person.” Kris Jenner gave her excellent motherly advice, noting both how powerful anxiety can be and how important it is to learn how to deal with it: “When you get into your own head it’s scary and you don’t want to let it get to the next step.” Say it was “debilitating” and not a sustainable way to live your life.
Sister Kendall Jenner has also been experiencing anxiety lately as she’s had bouts of sleep paralysis, a truly terrifying phenomena in which you wake up, but are still unable to move. Sleep paralysis can be accompanied by visual and auditory hallucinations. It had gotten to the point where she had panic attacks while flying, so she avoided flying alone at all costs.
If you’ve ever experience anxiety, Kendall’s description will be totally familiar to you, “I am kind of freaking out. It is so weird as I get like super light headed when I am on planes and I feel like I am going to faint. I don’t know what to do as I am freaking out about even flying home… It is so scary when it happens, you literally feel like you are never going to get out of it.”
In the episode, both Kim and Kendall had some success with anxiety coping methods like these.
They join other celebs like Zayn Malik who are speaking out about how scary and consuming anxiety can be.
