If You Think Timothée Chalamet Is A Great Actor, Wait Until You Meet Lil Timmy Tim

Two-time Academy Award nominee Timothée Chalamet's digital footprint is legendary.

By

Timothée Chalamet as a Soundcloud rapper on Saturday Night Live.

Timothée Chalamet has become the youngest actor since James Dean to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor twice. Not only is Chalamet a talented actor, he is a well-rounded entertainer who can sing, dance and rap. His rap alter ego is known as Lil Timmy Tim. Fans who have been in the trenches with Timothée know the lore, but here are some of his best Lil Timmy Tim moments that show his immense skill as a performer.

“Statistics”

Timothée’s rap name is “Lil Timmy Tim”. When he attended  LaGuardia High School in New York City he made this rap video for his statistics class with teacher Ms. Lawton. While the lo-fi nature of the video should make it a cringe memory, the song is so catchy (and Lil Timmy Tim is so charming) it’s more endearing than embarrassing.

A particularly great bar from this rap:

Let’s do a problem
Let us see the probability
Of you seeing me on TV
One zero zero zero trillion percent
I’m a statistical wonder
A statistical gem

Roman’s Revenge

One of the most well-known pre-fame videos of Timothée is his performance of Nicki Minaj’s “Roman’s Revenge” at a school talent show. He nails some choreo and sings an original rap which includes the bar “It’s time to do my dance / Timmy Tim, pull up your pants / Voulez vous couchez avec moi? / Oui, je suis from France” before launching into the song from Minaj’s Pink Friday album and ending with a dance to LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”.

“Timmy Tim AKA Two Inches Proud.”

Another Lil Timmy Tim video, this was likely shot in Hartley Hall at Columbia University. Timmy raps about girls and his career, specifically his recent role as Finn Walden in Homeland.

Rap Roundtable

Chalamet’s first time hosting SNL brought us this parody of a hip-hop panel which featured Chalamet and Pete Davidson as SoundCloud rap duo “Zan Mob” AKA “Gwap Lord” and “SmokeCheddaDaAssGetta.” Timothée can be seen covering his face in the latter part of the sketch as the urge to laugh becomes unbearable. On his second time hosting SNL, his character SmokeCheddaDaAssGetta returned to the Rap Roundtable.
