Dreams are nice, but with the realities of our daily lives, we oftentimes struggle with making the “leap.” Risks are scary, and risks don’t usually fit into the mold in which our 9-5 world is constructed — but it’s that barrier of impossibility that makes the end result worthwhile. For many aspiring artists, cultural tastemakers, and future big deals, this itch to shatter and decimate monotonous normalcy is built-in.
In partnership with the all-new 2015 Honda Fit, we took a ride with electro/funk legends Chromeo to discover how these two friends defied the odds and created something extraordinary. Amidst scenic New York City views, Chromeo discusses their initial touring days, in which “we’d pack everything in the trunk of the car, and just drive and play shows for 20 people.”
Things are a little bit different nowadays, but it was that initial leap — that thirst to just put themselves out there — that gave Chromeo the chance to elevate to clear stardom.
