“Barbie Without Makeup” Proves How Unattainable A Role Model She Really Is
She's still very pretty, but compared to the Barbie we're used to seeing, she's much more realistic.
As if we needed another reason to dislike Barbie — with her impossible proportions and her endless supply of material goods — graphic designer Eddie Aguirre created a version of Barbie as a normal person, with no makeup, bad skin, baggy eyes, and braces. She’s still very pretty, but compared to the Barbie we’re used to seeing, she’s much more realistic.
And why, exactly, can’t little girls be playing with something that looks like this?
