I hope you don’t let anyone convince you that you can’t do better, that you don’t deserve more, because you can and you do. You deserve someone who makes you see the best parts of yourself, the person who brings them out in the moments you’re convinced they don’t exist. The person who shows you how wonderful they think you really are, and the person who makes you believe it, the person who makes you believe in yourself.

I hope you finally see that you deserve more than a person who makes you think your mistakes are something to be ashamed of, because we all mess up, and someone who expects you to be perfect doesn’t understand growth or change or acceptance.

You deserve more than the person who causes you to look back, the person who forces you to stay stuck in the past. You deserve someone who helps you move forward even after standing still for so long, the person who wants the best for you, and realizes maybe the best has to happen without them, that maybe you both are better on your own. Maybe you both are better with someone else. You deserve the person that is willing to let you go so that you can finally move on.

I hope you see that you deserve more than someone who continues to come back. You deserve the person who doesn’t leave, the one who stays, and makes you feel like you’re the reason they stay. Because you are worthy of love, and you deserve someone who recognizes every quality that confirms it.

I hope you finally see that you deserve more than someone who continuously questions you, someone who doubts you, doubts your love. It’s not your fault when someone fails to trust your actions that demonstrate nothing less than faithfulness and loyalty . You shouldn’t have to be with a person who questions the trust you’ve proven over and over again, someone who refutes your love rather than accepting it.

I hope you finally see that you deserve more than someone who you constantly have to defend. You should be with a person you can bring around your friends and family because this person loves you the way your friends and family know you should be loved, the way they know you deserve to be loved.

You don’t have to be in a relationship that requires hiding, because no one who wants the best for you would ever approve of the things this person puts you through, the things this person says and does to you. You deserve someone who doesn’t need defending, someone you are proud of and proud to be with.

I hope you finally see that you deserve more than someone who makes you feel small. That you should be with a person who makes you feel important, like you matter to them and to this world, a person who makes you feel like you can do anything, be anyone.

You deserve more than someone who limits you because the person who truly loves you doesn’t hold you back from the giant dreams you’ve always had. They don’t make your dreams feel unattainable. You don’t have to be with someone who makes your goals about them, someone who doesn’t approve of your aspirations simply because they don’t fit into them. You deserve the person who knows it’s okay for you to focus on yourself, the person who pushes you to want more from life, even if they’re not a part of it.
