This Internet Edit Turned Penn Badgley’s Dance On ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ Into A Bollywood Banger

By

Who knew Penn Badgley had this much rhythm?

The You actor made an appearance on the popular talk show ahead of the series’ fifth and final season, which dropped today (4/25), and participated in it’s viral “Spirit Tunnel” tradition, dancing his way through the studio hallway while staff and producers chanted his name to the tune of Doechii’s “Anxiety”. It’s a super fun internet moment, and Badgley threw himself into the trend unabashedly.

But the beautiful thing about the internet is that moments like these are instantly recycled into a plethora of entertaining memes and hot takes that continue the fun long after it’s original thirty seconds are done. Instagram user @qualiteaposts capitalized on the moment, and synched Badgley’s dancing perfectly to the 2000 Bollywood classic “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai”. He looks right at home on the track, and his monochrome look fits perfectly with the era’s style.

If you want to relive the original in all it’s cheesy, filmi glory, you can rewatch Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel’s epic shoulder shimmies below. It’s definitely worth a side by side comparison just to appreciate how naturally Badgley emulates classic Bollywood steps, likely completely unaware of the similarities. I think he could easily be the next Hollywood star to make a cameo in a Hindi film after Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards, Akon, Snoop Dogg, and Kylie Minogue.

Sounds like Karan Johar needs to pick up the phone and give him a call.

Devotional Message From the very beginning, God’s power has overridden natural limitations. When the angel Gabriel spoke to Mary, announcing Jesus’s conception, it was proof of the divine principle that makes the seemingly impossible possible, demonstrating that the boundaries and limitations we face as human beings do not constrain God.
