When we base our attraction on pictures, on bodies, on superficial or lust-filled aspects of people, we chase relationships that aren’t meaningful. We chalk up people to images. We objectify instead of learn who someone is.

Where you are is here. Right now. And what if you celebrated that?

I have learned that loving you means letting you leave.

Love is closing your eyes and pulling another body close. Replacing fear with faith.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.” — 1 John 4:7

Today, I will remember to be still. To take in the beauty around me and release what is not mine to fix, or heal, or change.

I am no longer afraid to let go of what will never be, and accept that I am stronger because of what happened, and deserving of far more than you could ever give.

You have to give yourself permission sometimes—permission to fail, permission to fall for the wrong person, permission to be fearless and maybe not have it all figured out

Let the past be the past, and watch ‘what could have been’ simply float away. Give life the chance to surprise you, teach you, heal you, as you willingly shed the heaviness that’s been holding you back for so long.

It’s time to see yourself as the wonderfully complex being you are—flawed but original, imperfect but beautiful.

You were one of the brave ones, fighting for love in a world that’s searching so desperately for it, but hides nonetheless.
