1. First love doesn’t always last.

3. Don’t believe everything a person promises you.

4. Self love is incredibly hard work.

5. Healing doesn’t meant forgetting.

6. No, you don’t have to be friends with your exes.

7. No, it’s not cruel to block your ex.

8. It’s just as hard to be the person getting broken up with as the person who is doing the dumping.

9. Closure isn’t real.

10. No matter how much you love someone, it doesn’t make them obligated to love you back.

11. Don’t ever beg for someone to love you.

12. Most likely, the girl or guy you are chasing doesn’t want to be chased by you.

13. Be PATIENT.

14. Almost relationships hurt like a bitch.

15. Sex won’t make them want you more or love you more.

16. Be wary of who you give your heart to.

17. Instead of being bitter about an ex, be happy they were a part of your life.

18. Drunk texting an old crush or an old fling isn’t cute. It’s desperate.

19. Some people are assholes and you can’t change them, no matter how much you want to.

20. People will disappoint you again and again.

21. Don’t give your heart away too easily. Be careful with it.

22. Love hurts. But love is also magically beautifully. Don’t let your past define your future when it comes to finding love.

23. At the end of the day, you’ll only have yourself to face, so make good decisions and make yourself proud.

24. At the end of the day, the only person you are obligated to make happy is yourself. TC mark

You look back and you just feel stupid.
You can’t forgive yourself for falling
or believing all the lies.
You reread every text.
You relive every memory.
And it all starts making sense —
he never wanted love.
He only wanted attention.
He only wanted validation.

“It’s just wondrous how every time I go through some emotional trauma, your posts are so relatable and it gives me so much hope. I love the writing and the photos. It’s all a pleasure to read. I can’t thank you enough for it, really.” — DM from @ThoughtCatalog Instagram follower
