ENFP

For you, every year- heck, every DAY- is filled with possibilities, and there is nothing you enjoy more than exploring them all. Yet you’ve felt pretty exhausted always reaching for everything just out of your grasp. In 2018, you’re going to look around and realize that your life is actually pretty great- and you’re going to explore it to it’s fullest. Not by looking at everything you don’t have, but really investing in everything that you do. That greener-grass syndrome is going to set itself aside for awhile as you water the garden you already have, and it’s going to give you a chance to grow in ways you didn’t even think about.

INFP

You’ve always been known to hold yourself, and others, to high and idealistic expectations, which hasn’t always worked out for you. In 2018, take some time to really connect with yourself and determine exactly what you’re looking for- in partners, in friendships, and in yourself. Go into the new year with a better idea of what you are searching for, but rather than projecting your lofty expectations on others in a way they can’t measure up, be open to see what they have to offer you. You might be surprised in finding that what you thought you wanted isn’t what you needed after all.

ENTP

You know you’re an idea generator- it’s one of your best traits. You’ve chased down certain ideas and turned them into great things, but you’ve been sitting on one for awhile. It might seem insane, possibly even crazy, and you might’ve even been told it’s not possible. Yet if anyone can do it, it’s you- and your out of the box thinking is going to work well in accomplishing it. It’s time to bite the bullet and go for it- you can do it.

INTP

This past year you’ve felt a bit in a rut- and getting out of it has been tough than you anticipated. Though you tend to prefer to keep to yourself and stay within your own head, 2018 is going to bring some new faces into your life, and it turns out they can keep up with you intellectually in ways few have before. Don’t shy away, because these people are also going to motivate you to follow through on those ideas you’ve been analyzing for far too long- and it’s going to make this upcoming year better than you could’ve imagined.

ESFJ

This last year was really hard. You’re used to having it together and life hit you like a whirlwind, knocking the breath out of you. Yet 2018 is going to be your year to take back the reigns once again- the year you prove to everyone else, and yourself, that you are a force to be reckoned with. You’re more prepared to handle things than you were before, so even if unexpected things come your way, you’re ready to hit right back; You’ve got this.

ISFJ

When it comes to lending a helping hand to the people you care about, it’s hard to find someone better than you. However, you know that you tend to lend your hands to everyone without asking too many questions, and it’s been leaving you feeling taken advantage of. In 2018, things are going to be different- because the one positive thing about this past year is that you have learned those you can trust, and those you can’t. This year, you’re going to realize just who genuinely appreciates you and everything you do, and who would rather just use you. Although it might feel a little painful to close the door on some of those unhealthy relationships, it’s about time you finally cut those cords and started using your energy where it’s best spent- on the people you love, who love you just as much in return.

ENFJ

2018 is going to bring some very exciting opportunities in your life- including chances to take some leadership roles that exclusively work with guiding and helping people. You always love to help and involve yourself into the lives of those you love, but these new opportunities will allow you to channel your strengths in a way that doesn’t make you feel like an intrusion- which is something you tend to feel more insecure about than you would like to admit- and the fact that you feel more of value and useful is going to make 2018 your best year to date.

INFJ

This last year took a real toll on you. It’s been more and more difficult for you to see the good in people- not because you truly think everyone is terrible, but because the flaws and faults are easier to notice than you remember them being, including your own. Although it’s felt pretty desolate, in 2018 things are going to start turning around. You know the way things could be and you’re finally going to start working towards that ideal you’ve envisioned, rather than sitting still in this pit you’ve dug for yourself, mourning the loss of the good things you once knew. Everything isn’t going to happen overnight, but before you know it, you’re going to notice when things happening in the grand scheme start working together a little more harmoniously, and you’re going to be so happy to have been part of it.

ESFP

There is a part of you that has felt stagnant in one, or more, areas of your life. You crave being the center of attention, and while this isn’t a problem for you, it’s also part of the reason you’ve been feeling stuck- you’re waiting for validation from others around you to drive you forward. While the support of others isn’t a bad thing, it also can’t be what makes or breaks you- and in 2018 you’re going to learn this in a big way. Take some time to connect with yourself before you plunge back out into the world again- your confidence in you is what will bring others to you, not the other way around.

ISFP

Sometimes you feel like you just don’t fit anywhere- and while you love being a mysterious and uniquely creative individual, it can be a little lonely sometimes. In 2018, a new and exciting situation is going to require your distinctly creative aspect, and it’s going to feel like it was made for you. Others in your life will be surprised by just how capably you handle it, and in turn will stop underestimating you and recognize just how much of an asset you can be.

ESTP

Lately you’ve felt a little restless- even a little powerless, because situations in your life have been forcing you to sit back rather than taking action. However, 2018 is the year where taking action is not simply an option, but a necessity. While others in your life are going to be prone to overthinking, you’re going to be the one to step up and do the things that need to get done- and you’re going to be appreciated for it in some incredible ways, making this year one you won’t forget anytime soon.

ISTP

2018 is going to be your best year yet simply because there is going to be so much freedom and open space- exactly how you like it. While lately it’s felt like structure is trying to work its way in around every corner (which isn’t an entirely bad thing, by the way) this upcoming year is going to surprise you in the way it’s arms are wide open and ready for whatever it is you’re willing to bring to the table- and when you’re given chances like these, who knows how incredible that will turn out to be.

ENTJ

This past year has been a frustrating one. You’ve always succeeded in being someone who can plan ahead and work towards long-term goals that will be beneficial for those around you, but you’ve felt pretty overlooked as other short-term solutions have been implemented- and continue to fall apart. However, 2018 is going to be your best year yet when your constant suggestions are finally heard and used, and much to the shock of those around you, they work. Those who have been doubting you will finally start following your lead, and if anyone can handle taking on that leadership role, it’s you. Enjoy it.

INTJ

It may look like 2018 is trying to shake you up a little at first- but that isn’t a bad thing. You’re going to meet some interesting people that are going to challenge you in more ways than one, and you’re going to find some people who actually appear to be on your level. They won’t be intimidated by your depth and complexity, and will actually be the first ones to help you out with those goals that you’ve had in mind but haven’t done anything about yet. Though you might feel skeptical at first, try to relax- they just might help you to grow into a better version of yourself.

ESTJ

Things have been rocky for you for awhile now, though you don’t complain much. You’ve made some mistakes in your past that others have been holding against you for quite some time now. However, in 2018 things are going to start turning around for you as the people around you start to realize just how far you’ve come, rather than fixating on what happened before. Your friends, family, and community are all going to finally start seeing the better side of you that you’ve been putting out for awhile, and it’s going to make this year one of the best you’ve had to date.

ISTJ

When it comes to your work, you’ve never had a problem with finding the most accurate method of getting it done, which makes me you an incredibly reliable person to go to. However, with all the quick fixes and hectic chaos of life, sometimes you feel underappreciated by those around you, though this doesn’t hinder you from continuing to do exactly what you’re supposed to. In 2018, the people around you- family, friends, co-workers, etc.- are going to start taking notice of the hard work you’ve put in, and will take the time to show it. You may not need respect and attention, but you’ll be surprised at just how much it will affect you in a positive way. TC mark

Poetry That Will Empower and Inspire You

Salt Water, the new poetry collection by Brianna Wiest, is a must-have book on your journey to healing. Grab a cup of tea and let these essential, purifying prose calm your mind and filter out the noise.

Salt Water is a slow deep breath, in and out. It sits in a new genre of poetry, somewhere between artistic self-expression and candid self-help. It is a meditation on acceptance, growth, and what it means to be human. Salt Water is the note you wrote to yourself years ago, which you find again when you most need it, that reminds you ‘it’s going to be okay.’”

Love a soft person. The ones who are positive, even in the worst of circumstances. Someone whose strength is not in bravado, but in their quiet. Someone who is strong for others because that is what is needed in that moment. Someone who is the moon that soothes instead of the sun that burns. Someone who sees the very best in people even when you think they aren’t worth it. The kind of person who always wants to do the best for those they love.

“I bought this on a whim to read as I was resting for the night, and I do not regret it one bit! Everything about the poetry in this book is amazing, heart breaking, and soul searching. It will lift your spirits on your darkest days. I want to thank the author so much for writing this, as it’s something I will be rereading a lot! Always remember, everything about you is important. You matter.” —McKayla
