A Convicted Murderer Just Sent Me A Link To A Secret Recording, And What’s In The Video Is Truly Horrifying
The lawyer they gave me asked if there was anyone I wanted to call and handed me his smartphone. I figured you were my best bet. They’re clever bastards but not clever enough to know that I record all of my streams onto a redundant server. I’ve attached a link to download a video from…
Of course, the type of stuff you send me seems to be largely predicated on what I choose to write about from month-to-month. So in all honesty, I have no one to blame here but myself. As a perfect example, after I wrote that Lizard People story, for the next two weeks my inbox was nothing but links to other crazy-ass conspiracy sites:
Fringe blogs from militant 911 Truthers and Time Cop Conspiracy Theorists (which I didn’t even know was a thing) and, most hilarious of all, people who were completely-serious-no-trolling-for-real-for-real Flat Earthers. Danny was part of that last group and yet I must admit he turned out to be a genuinely nice, seemingly intelligent guy who I would’ve gone as far as to call my friend though we had never met IRL.
I discovered Danny’s blog “π-Walker” through a reader’s email and, despite the subject matter being comprised of equal parts bad math and nonsense, I was struck by his endearing down-to-earth (pun intended) presentation of it all. I already felt like there was a story here but had one small hurdle to deal with first: Danny’s 5,000 word summation of the Flat Earth hypothesis contained a list of no less than 30 reference-links.
Rest assured that nobody loves spending hours cataloging the collective musings of paranoid madmen like yah boy Joel, but even I had my limits. So I contacted Danny, explaining that I was researching a story and asked if he would mind narrowing his reference-list down to maybe four or five choice links. Danny replied about thirty minutes later with his top-5 list and a brief description of each one.
