Read This If You Need A Little Push To Block His Number

Block his number because every time you have a conversation with him, you’re left wanting more. And not in a good way. He always disappoints you by sending one-word messages and letting the conversation die prematurely or by going MIA for weeks on end. You’re always waiting around for him to get back to you, for him to acknowledge you, for him to treat you like a priority instead of a second or third or tenth choice. You don’t deserve to feel like you’re sitting on the sidelines, cheering him on, hoping you catch his eye. You deserve to be someone’s first choice, their only choice.

Block his number because you shouldn’t have to beg for his attention. You shouldn’t have to send the first text every single time. You shouldn’t have to double text either, or post cute pictures of yourself on social media to nudge him to reply. You shouldn’t have to bend over backwards in order to get a word out of him. You shouldn’t be the one doing all the work. You shouldn’t be chasing after him when he has no interest in getting caught. You should hold out for someone who puts in the same amount of effort as you, someone who feels as strongly as you.

Block his number because he shouldn’t get away with treating you like this. He shouldn’t get to hurt your heart time and time again without any consequences. As much as you love him, as much as you’re dying to make him yours, you have to admit when it’s time to give up on him. You shouldn’t fight for a relationship that wouldn’t be worth it — and he’s already proven he wouldn’t be worth it. If he can’t even treat you right over text, he isn’t going to treat you right in person. He isn’t going to give you everything you deserve. He isn’t going to be the boyfriend you hoped he’d be.

Block his number because he’s not the only guy in the world. Other guys will like you back. Other guys will make you laugh. Other guys will make you feel special and valued and comfortable in their arms. He’s not the only person who will capture your heart, even if he’s the only one around right now. You’re going to find someone new in the future, so stop clinging so tightly to the past.

Block his number because getting over someone is hard, even when you know they aren’t right for you. You don’t need to give him the chance to fight for a second chance. You don’t want him to message you out of the blue after months of being radio silent and start flirting with you again. You don’t want to be tempted to let him back into your heart when you were so close to forgetting about him. You don’t want him to have a hold over you forever because you deserve to move on. You deserve to find someone who treats you right from the start. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
