You Might Be Insecure -- But You're Not Unlovable

You Might Be Insecure — But You’re Not Unlovable

You might have baggage from your exes. You might have abandonment issues, trust issues, commitment issues — but you deserve love.

You might have an unhealthy relationship with your body. You might delete ninety-nine percent of the selfies you take and cry in front of mirrors because you cannot stand the way you look — but you deserve love.

You might be a pessimist. You might badmouth relationships. You might have convinced yourself you’re better off alone because no one will be able to hurt you that way — but you deserve love.

You might feel awkward. You might have no idea what you should say to crushes or how long you should make eye contact in conversations. You might have a hard time leaving your comfort zone and meeting new people — but you deserve love.

You might have a bad track record when it comes to relationships. You might have a history of loving people who aren’t able to say they feel the same way — but you deserve love.

You might have been single for a long stretch of time. You might not have experienced  your first kiss yet. You might feel like you’re destined to remain alone — but you deserve love.

You might shake your head every time someone compliments you. You might have a hard time believing anyone could see you as special — but you deserve love.

You might feel guilty over mistakes you’ve made in the past. You might feel like a bad person. You might feel like you haven’t earned a soulmate — but you deserve love.

You might be used to the single life. You might call yourself forever alone. You might assume you’re going to spend the rest of your life this way — but you deserve love.

You might treat yourself more like an enemy than a friend. You might criticize yourself more than you compliment yourself — but you deserve love.

You might get attached to the wrong people way too easily. You might have poor taste when it comes to relationships — but you deserve love.

You might wonder why anyone would settle for you when there are so many other options out there. You might feel like you don’t have a chance of finding your happily ever after — but you deserve love.

You might consider yourself an outsider. You might feel like you don’t fit in anywhere — but you deserve love.

You might hate dating apps. You might have no idea how to flirt. You might feel like modern dating is too complicated for your tastes — but you deserve love.

You might feel like you’re always the one who loves more. You might feel like your feelings are always unrequited — but you deserve love.

You might not like yourself. You might have a million insecurities. You might not see how anyone could want to spend an hour with you, let alone a lifetime with you — but you deserve love.

Never call yourself unlovable again, because one day, you’re going to find someone who considers loving you the easiest thing in the world. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
