Stop Staying In The Wrong Relationships Because You Feel Like It’s As Good As You’re Going To Get

Stop staying in the wrong relationships because you are too comfortable to leave. Stop staying in the wrong relationships because there is nothing obviously wrong — no loud arguments, no cheating, no abuse. Stop staying in the wrong relationship because you feel like it’s as good as you are going to get.

Stop staying in the wrong relationship because you are scared to put yourself on the market again. Stop staying in the wrong relationship because you feel like having someone halfway decent for you is better than having no one at all. Stop staying in the wrong relationship because you have history together and the idea of breaking up has never even occurred to you.

Stop staying in the wrong relationship because you feel greedy for asking for more when technically your relationship is completely fine. Stop staying in the wrong relationship because you aren’t sure how to live any other way.

Just because you’re with someone who treats you well doesn’t mean you’re with the right person. Just because this relationship is healthier than your last relationship doesn’t mean it’s the right relationship. Just because nothing is technically wrong doesn’t mean everything is going well.

Stop staying in the wrong relationships because they treat you better than your exes used to treat you. Honesty and loyalty are important, but they aren’t the only requirements you should be looking for in a forever person. You should be looking for someone who has those traits — but also someone who gets you. Someone who makes you laugh until your sides hurt. Someone you love with an intensity they match.

You are allowed to leave a relationship where you aren’t feeling sparks, where you aren’t feeling completely fulfilled, even if you can’t pinpoint why. You are allowed to say goodbye to a good guy, a good girl, even though the last thing you want to do is break their heart. You are allowed to hold out for a relationship that feels right instead of a relationship that feels good enough.

Stop staying in the wrong relationships because you are comfortable settling. Stop staying in the wrong relationships because you feel like your person is the best you can catch. Stop staying in the wrong relationships because you don’t want to go through the hassle of a breakup.

Stop telling yourself you should suck it up and be happy because you are finally in a decent, non-toxic relationship. Stop pretending your relationship is perfect when your heart isn’t in it. You are not greedy or picky or heartless for wanting someone who fits you better. You are supposed to find someone you love being around, someone you are excited to involve in your life, not someone you are only dating because they are around and happen to like you back.

Stop staying in the wrong relationships because you feel like it’s as good as you’re going to get. Only stay if you’re happy. Only stay if you’re appreciative. Only stay if you’re deeply in love with your best friend.  TC mark
