And yes, all the original creepy drawings are there.

We all remember ‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’ as one of the creepiest parts of our childhood. No matter how tough you think you are, there’s at least one story from the books that’s stuck with you. My personal favorite is ‘Harold’.

Unfortunately, after the original printings between 1981-1991 the books became rare. Harper Collins did a new printing of the books in 2011 but they’ve been without the original Stephen Gammell drawings. Fans were disappointed in the “new” look of the books, which looked like this:

Now Harper Collins has listened to fans and has rereleased the trilogy of our nightmares with the original artwork:
