14 People Described Something That Happened To Them That They Still Can’t Explain, And Their Stories Are CREEPY

4.

I lost about 7 hours of time that I can’t explain or account for. I was still in college. I came back from classes and decided to go for an evening run. It was about 5:00 p.m. and the sun was still up. I remember putting on my workout clothes, I went out the front door, and locked it. I know I walked to the street because I remember stopping at the mailbox at the end of my driveway. Then all of a sudden I was back in my living room sitting on the couch. I was totally confused. It was dark outside and the clock said in was 12:04 a.m.. I was wearing different clothes and I must have taken a shower(my hair was still damp), but I have absolutely no memory of anything that happened between 5 p.m. and 12 a.m. For me it was just like that, one second I was standing in my driveway the next second I’m in my living room like no time had passed. It would be just like if you blinked and when you opened your eyes again you were suddenly in a different room. I did not drink alcohol or use any drugs at that time and was pretty fit and healthy. No mental health issues. And it’s not like I just dozed off or something. I was on my feet wide awake at 5:00 and I was totally awake at midnight. It felt like no time passed. I have a very clear memory of the day leading up to my run and a clear memory from 12:00 a.m. on.

I was totally freaked out! I kept checking the clocks and looking out the windows because I didn’t believe it could be right. I was racking my brain trying to remember what happened but there was nothing. I searched the house for clues to where I was, nothing unusual except my workout clothes were in the hamper. I called all my friends and family to see if any of them had seen or heard from me earlier that evening, but no one had. I even drove my usually jogging route and asked some of my neighbors if they’d seen me running. Nothing. I kept watching the news for the next few days thinking something would get reported.

It still really bothers me to this day. I’ve played out all the scenarios in my head and nothing seems to make sense. All I know is this: 1) I left my house between 5:00 and 5:10 p.m. for a jog. 2) At some point after that I came home and took a shower. [That was probably around 11:00 p.m. because my hair was still damp (but not wet) and there was a damp towel in the bathroom.] 3) I changed into jeans and a tee-shirt and I put my keys and wallet in my pockets like I was planning to go out (or I went out and came back).

That’s it. I felt fine: no pain, no injuries, nothing unusual, just a huge blank spot in my memory. I still think about it all the time. I’m not saying I think it was something supernatural but nothing like that has ever happened to me before or since. Where was I? What the heck was I doing? Did something happen to me? Why can’t I remember it?
