Let us begin this foray into your worst ghosting nightmares by disclaiming: it’s not always your fault that someone drops off the face of the Earth. Ghosting is not a cool, mature thing to do. However, if you’re noticing a pattern in how people respond to you, and feel that they may be losing interest prematurely, the common denominator just might be… uh… you.
Aries
(March 21st to April 19th)
You didn’t “click” as much as you led yourself to believe.
Aries have strong personalities. They are opinionated, decisive, and self-aware. They are, in other words, not everyone’s cup of tea. You are the least willing among the signs to alter your behavior for the sake of trying to get someone to like you. Trust that it’s for the best in the end. You are the least likely to waste your time with the wrong person.
Taurus

You were too demanding.
Too much, too soon. That’s how you end relationships before they really even begin. If someone ghosts on you, it’s probably because they were intimidated by the expectations you seemed to have right off the bat. Not everyone is perfect, not everyone is going to be exactly the way you think they should all of the time. It’s not that you have to lower your standards, it’s that you need to lead into your relationships with more understanding. Open yourself up to the possibilities.
Gemini
(May 22nd to June 21st)
You went on TMI overload.
Geminis are funny in that they are usually very smart and cunning and yet emotionally, all over the place. The latter has the potential to push people away before they’ve ever really given you a chance. If you’re getting ghosted, it’s because you’re being extra. You’re talking about marriage and the Universe and your ex-BFF who hurt your feelings and your potential partner is probably just trying to talk about where they’d like to get dinner on Friday.
Cancer
(June 22nd to July 22nd)
You got moody.
Cancers get ghosted because their dark side starts to slip out before the other person has really grown to know them well enough to realize that they don’t actually have a truly “dark” side, they’re just emotional AF and get pissy sometimes. Loving a Cancer is the best and the worst because they are the most emotionally available, and yet the most over-sensitive. They are the most willing to commit, and yet there are usually some road bumps to getting there. Wait for the person who wants to take the ride.
Leo
(July 23rd to August 22nd)
You were being a control freak.
If someone isn’t responding to your texts, or if they are only giving you one word answers at the bar, they aren’t interested. Full stop. End of sentence. There’s a lot more grey area here to navigate, so let’s make it as simple as possible: if someone wants to be with you, they will be with you. Getting aggressive about their attention and whether or not you have it does not help the situation. You cannot control everything, least of all whether or not someone wants to be with you if they don’t. Learn to let go.
Virgo
(August 23rd to September 22nd)
You exposed your weird side too soon.
A thing that nobody really talks about with Virgos is that they are low-key the biggest secret weirdos of the Zodiac. They have this side of them that is into a whole array of oddities, dorky humor, and paranoid overthinking, and when put together, creates this very weird side of them that few people come to see, and fewer people will really understand. A great litmus test of whether or not someone is “right” for a Virgo is how they respond to this side of themselves, though it’s also something that can be off putting to the wrong person (or, uh, people).
Libra
(September 23rd to October 22nd)
You flaunted your crazy.
Libras desire, more than anything else, to be loved. They love love and love the people who give love. This contributes in no small part to their desire to seem balanced, attractive and successful. However, maintaining so much balance on the surface nearly always displaces some kind of craziness underneath. What I am trying to say is that every Libra has a side of themselves that is bad shit nuts and exposing it too soon is usually a big turnoff.
Scorpio
(October 23rd to November 22nd)
You seemed too standoffish.
The thing that most predominantly stands in the way of a Scorpio having true love is the fact that they always seem to be acting as though they don’t want it. (This, in spite of the fact that they a) desperately do and b) are still on every dating site known to mankind.) If someone ghosted on you, it’s because you seemed disinterested, or were making it seem as though you wouldn’t have space for that person in your life. If you want to keep someone around, you have to act like you actually want them there. Weird, I know.
Sagittarius
(November 23rd to December 21st)
You were a sarcastic ass.
Sags have the best and worst sense of humor in the Zodiac. They are blunt and their primary mode of communication is re-explaining some fact they read somewhere and/or off-color jokes. The combo is what makes them irresistible to some, and very unappealing to others. It’s this polarity that you have to watch out for, but remember that being honest at least weeds out the people who will never really stick around anyway.
Capricorn
(December 22nd to January 20th)
You bored them.
In an effort to seem approachable to the object of your desire, you played it cool. Too cool. You presented a half-assed version of yourself, which stems from the fear that someone wouldn’t love you in all of your fiery, confident glory. (This is, obviously, untrue.) If people keep ghosting on you, it’s because you seem square and boring and too complacent. That’s not attractive to anybody but people who want to be able to control someone, and that’s not what you want in your life regardless.
Aquarius
(January 21st to February 18th)
Your priorities were misaligned.
Sure, you think you want love, but when it comes down to who and what you’re going to put first in your life, it will almost always come down to a near tie, if not leaning toward your own pursuits. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but if you aren’t careful at the beginning of a relationship, it can come off as though you won’t actually make enough time for your partner. Nobody wants to be dating someone who works until 10:30 PM every night and then returns to the office on Saturday to “catch up.” There needs to be some balance, and you need to express your willingness to make time for an important person in your life. Once you do, you’ll be golden.
Pisces
(February 19th to March 20th)
You didn’t let the other person talk.
Pisces are easily inspired and just a smidgen self-involved, and the combo leads them to talk about themselves a lot. Like, probably maybe a little bit too much. At first, it can be a little bit overwhelming, and it may seem like you care more about your own ideas than valuing someone else’s. This isn’t necessarily true, but it may come off that way. In the end, you have to take your head out of the clouds, bring it back to Earth, and try not to rant for too long. I know, you’re excited. Tell your journal about it when you get home.
